Brentford could now accept a big offer from Liverpool if it arrives in the near future, according to a new transfer claim from former scout Mick Brown.

The 24-year-old has been mentioned as an option for the Reds recently, with Bees manager Keith Andrews praising him after he was called up into Jurgen Klopp’s Germany squad:

“He’s been in there before so he’s used to that setup. A different manager now of course, one that’s very used to the Premier league so I’m sure he’d have been very aware. Kev has been in a really good rhythm, a really good place in his game. He’s working really hard with the coaches to improve certain parts of his game and I think we’ve seen that in how he’s been performing.”

In an interview with Football Insider, Brown continued to talk up Liverpool’s chance of signing Schade moving forward, should a hefty bid arrive from them in Brentford’s direction:

“Brentford have an excellent record when it comes to selling players. It’s something they run the club based on, they can bring players in for cheap fees, sell them on, and then more often than not they already have a replacement lined up.

“I don’t expect them to behave any different when it comes to Schade’s future when you look at players they’ve lost in the past; Mbeumo, Wissa, Toney. If Liverpool or Arsenal come in with a huge offer for Schade, then I expect Brentford will take it, and they’ll already know the player who they want to come in and replace him.

“In an ideal world, of course they’d keep their best players, but they realise that’s not the market they operate in so they’re always ready to sell players for the right price.”

Kevin Schade can be a shrewd signing for Liverpool?

Schade might not naturally jump out as an elite attacking option for Liverpool in 2027, but he has become an increasingly influential performer in a good Brentford team, scoring 25 goals in 119 appearances.

The German is an attacker who can shine across the pitch, and he has netted twice against the Reds, with Andrews again hailing him after he scored a hat-trick against at home to Bournemouth last season:

“He works tirelessly for the team. It’s an attribute that we insist on for our attacking players that they have to run back as quickly as they run forward. He’s a constant threat.

“I feel like in the last couple of weeks he’s been starting to get into really good positions and getting really really close and today was a really nice hat-trick right foot left foot header. So it doesn’t come more complete than that. He was excellent today.”

Admittedly, Schade won’t come on the cheap for Liverpool, so they would have to be sure about him making the step up to one of the biggest clubs in the world, but he could be a shrewd addition who could become a key part of Andoni Iraola’s plans as the years pass.
