Tyler Dibling has potentially turned a corner at Everton, and fans will adore something he has been getting up to away from the pitch.

Just before the international break, Tyler Dibling put in two really promising performances for Everton.

He started the club’s third-round Carabao Cup tie against Wolves, and delivered a fantastic performance that saw him named Player of the Match. He was then given a substitute appearance off the bench against Ipswich Town, and was lively once again.

The international break perhaps hasn’t come at the best time for Dibling, although he’s been with the England U21s along with Tyrique George.

It is so clear that he is a player with ginormous potential, and it’s now just about nurturing him so that he can realise it. But one thing is for sure, he certainly has the humility that will help along the way.

It’s been a great start to the season for Everton so far, but which has been the best game and why?

The Toffees have four wins and a draw from the first five games 🔥

Tyler Dibling puts on Legacy tournament for youngsters in Devon

It’s not lost on Dibling just what an amazing journey he’s had to get to where he is – and now the Everton star is giving back to kids from his area.

The PFA have today released clips on social media of Dibling at an event he put on recently called the Tyler Dibling Legacy tournament.

The free community event is described on the Junior Grassroots Hub website as a chance ‘to give young players a fantastic day of football, competition and fun, with plenty of activities away from the pitch too.

Speaking at the location of the event, the Millwey Rise Youth Pitches in Axminster, Dibling said: “These little tournaments were the most fun things I did when I was growing up. It’s all about community, where I grew up. It’s a small town, not a lot goes on.

“It’s the perfect place to do it. To give something back to the people that coached me when I was younger… I’ve seen so many people that I haven’t seen since I was little.

“It’s nice to actually see it, and give back to everyone who lives in our community and around us. We’re hoping to do this every year and make it bigger and bigger, one of the biggest tournaments in Devon. Hopefully today was just the start.”

Lauren O’Sullivan, Director of Community for the PFA, said: “It’s a fantastic example of players giving back to communities and using the power of football to make a difference.

Players have got a really unique power to inspire so many people in the local community. They’re role models. And I think Tyler is a shining example of the difference players can make to ordinary people in local communities by them engaging and giving back and creating opportunities like today.”

Some of the prizes on offer to the kids on the day were:

Winners’ trophy for each age group

Runners-up trophies

Player of the Tournament awards

Winners’ medals

Tyler Dibling Dream Team selections

Individual player trophies

To see Dibling doing this is genuinely really heartwarming and he deserves great credit for serving as an inspiration for young kids in his area.

Hopefully, as Dibling says, this will just be the start, and this event can ultimately happen more regularly in the football and perhaps even on a bigger scale. And who knows, perhaps one of his tournaments will unearth the next Dibling.
