However, one moment from the game has caught the attention of fans on social media. The coaching staff member collided with an official near the boundary, and disrupted his path on the sideline. The same drive also included a flag on wide receiver Puka Nacua. Despite this setback, the Rams managed to overcome their opponents. Video footage of the incident has since gone viral on social media, with many stressing the need for a get-back coach.
A get-back coach’s job is to keep players and staff from encroaching on the field of play or interfering with officials, thereby avoiding precisely these types of infractions. After the game, McVay revealed how he inspired his team to win.
Rams head coach Sean McVay reveals halftime speech
McVay was asked by reporters after the game to reveal what he told his players at halftime, which resulted in a comeback victory. He said, I don’t remember exactly. It was just more of what is on my heart to just say, ‘Guys, we’re capable. You gotta believe. And we gotta just string good plays together.”
He added, “Our defense is doing everything that they can to keep us in this game. And I believed in that group. I believed in our ability to consistently execute on some things that we didn’t and probably something along those lines.”
The Rams will now move on to the next game which is against the Buffalo Bills.
