**Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are all interested in signing Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, but will have to wait until the summer.**
Understandably, the Cherries are unwilling to let Scott leave midway through the season. The 23-year-old midfielder will not be allowed to join Liverpool in the January transfer window, with [BBC Sport](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/crp3ke05z5jqo) reporting that offers for Scott will be ignored at the turn of the year.
Sami Mokbel and Nizaar Kinsella report: _“The Cherries have had two contract renewal talks rejected before a summer window in which Scott pushed to leave the Vitality Stadium._
_“However, they remain steadfast that they have warned interested clubs that they will not welcome any contact over a move until their league objectives have either been achieved or are no longer attainable._
_“Similarly, Bournemouth would not entertain offers for other key players, including striker Eli Junior Kroupi, who remains sidelined through injury, and winger Rayan._
_“The club are competing on four fronts this season, including their first-ever European campaign in the Europa League. Scott has performed well on the south coast and shown no signs of discontent but is known to ultimately want to join one of England’s biggest clubs._
_“Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are among the Premier League clubs known to hold an interest in Scott.”_
Liverpool could still move for Lamine Camara
--------------------------------------------
A Liverpool move to sign AS Monaco’s Lamine Camara would still be my preference after his failed Chelsea transfer on Deadline Day.
[The Reds reportedly told Camara to wait for them until 2027](https://live4liverpool.com/liverpool-made-a-series-of-calls-to-lamine-camara-on-deadline-day-with-personal-terms-now-agreed/). It remains possible that Liverpool could sign the Senegalese international in the winter window, although I doubt it will happen.
Liverpool tend to avoid transfer activity in the January window unless a truly game-changing player is available, like Virgil van Dijk was in 2018.
Camara is not quite at that level, although I do think his ball-winning ability would completely transform Andon Iraola’s team. He is exactly what’s needed to take Liverpool from a decent counter-pressing unit, to truly dominant.
That said, signing him in January would ensure there is no risk of him being poached in the summer when more clubs will certainly make an attempt to sign him.
