Lamine Yamal’s start to the new season has been astonishing, and the player is operating at a level that any normal teenager should not even be able to dream of.
He is, at this point, one of the best players on the planet, if not the absolute best, and the same is reflected in terms of his market value.
Given his age, projection and output, Yamal is genuinely one of the highest valued and most marketable names in the sport, and is only growing in stature with every passing week.
Barcelona, needless to say, must make countless efforts from their end to show how they value his talent.
Set for a raise

As matters stand, the young winger is Barcelona’s highest earning player and his salary is estimated to be close to €20 million net across fixed salary and variables.
Rodri, after he arrived in Barcelona, has come up as a close competitor on that front and is not too far behind, while Raphinha will also join the same bracket after his contract renewal
As reported by MARCA, however, the duo will not stay close to Yamal for long as the youngster is also set for a planned raise soon.
His last renewal with Barcelona was back in 2025, and he signed a long-term deal with an agreement for a raise after two years based on his performances.
Needless to say, he has overdelivered and will earn that reward soon, although it will take some more time before it actually materialises.
The big hurdle

The Spanish outlet also confirm that Yamal’s new raise will still take a few months before it is active, and it primarily has to do with Barcelona’s Sports Staff Cost Limit.
As matters stand, the club’s limit stands at €582 million and their current salary bills amount to close to €581 million. There is, thus, not much room for an immediate improvement.
Barcelona’s staff and administrators estimate that the club’s salary limit will move up to €636 million this year, which will give them the required flexibility to see the promised raise through. The priority continues to be the renewals.
