Arsenal are once again looking to the South American market as they look to bolster the ranks for both the here and now and the future.

The Gunners have had huge success in recent years by tapping into South America and specifically Brazil, with the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Magalhaes and others all being key players for the club.

Now, with one eye on the future, Arsenal are once again being linked with a move for young Brazilian and current Corinthians star, Breno Bidon.

But just who is the latest Brazilian talent potentially heading to The Emirates?

Who is Breno Bidon?

Breno Bidon is a Brazilian footballer currently playing for Corinthians. He is 21-years-old and has been with the Brazilian outfit since he was just 14, making his debut as an 18-year-old.

What position does Breno Bidon play?

Like many top Brazilian players, Bidon revels in an attacking midfield role and has even drawn comparisons to players like Oscar and Kaka.

Primarily at his best in the number ten position, Bidon also drops deeper into the midfield to control games when needed.

International credentials

At just 21, Bidon has already played for the senior Brazil team on three occasions, albeit he did miss out on a call to the World Cup this past summer.

Nevertheless, he is expected to be a big feature for the Selecao in the coming years and it’s very likely we see the midfielder don the yellow and blue in Saudi Arabia in 2030.

What’s the story with Arsenal and Breno Bidon?

The Gunners have watched Bidon before and had eyes on him when he was still a teenager.

However, reports in Brazil are now suggesting Arsenal are ready to make a fresh move for Bidon and this time, Corinthians will not stand in his way if the bid is right.

Indeed, it’s suggested that a deal in the region of around £21m would be enough for Corinthians to sanction a sale. In Premier League terms, that sort of figure is petty cash at the very top.
