While Liverpool continue to sign players for the here and now as they look to become genuine Premier League title contenders again, they have also been looking at bringing in young players who can make a big difference to their future as well.
Liverpool spent more than £100m to bring in Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain over the summer, and Andoni Iraola will hope that he soon shows the immense form he showed during his time with the Ligue 1 giants, to help the Reds thrive this term.
The Merseyside outfit have made a relatively positive start under the Spaniard and are still unbeaten as we approach the other side of the extended international break, with Iraola giving minutes to some of his younger players in recent weeks, including Lewis Koumas, James McConnell and Trey Nyoni.
Liverpool have plenty of other exciting talents coming through the ranks too, who they have signed in recent seasons, including Giovanni Leoni.
The Italian joined in the summer of 2025, but he has actually only made one appearance for the Reds, against Southampton in the EFL Cup, where he suffered a serious injury that has kept him on the sidelines ever since.
Meanwhile, Liverpool agreed deals to sign Lucca Brughmans and Djylian N'Guessan in the final days of the summer transfer window, with both players spending the remainder of this campaign on loan elsewhere.
Both players are highly-rated though, with Brughmans in particular having an opportunity next term if Alisson leaves at the end of this season.
Liverpool's Recent Signings of Young Talent:
Giovanni Leoni (age 19)
Lucca Brughmans (age 18)
Mor Talla N'diaye (age 18)
Djylian N'Guessan (age 18)
Ifeanyi Ndukwe (age 18)
Armin Pecsi (age 21)
Samuel Martinez (age 17)
One addition there has been a lot of excitement about is Colombian teenage sensation Samu Martinez, who has been compared to Brazilian icon Kaka in his home country.
The 17-year-old is reported to have rejected 29 other clubs to join Liverpool in a £750,000 deal from Atletico Nacional, after instructing his agent that he wanted to make the switch to Anfield.
Now, a new video of him in action for his country against Brazil has emerged, where he completes a brilliant piece of skill before driving forward towards the final third.

Just watching the clip above and knowing he is a No.10, the obvious comparison with a former Liverpool player is Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian was a huge hit at Anfield before deciding to make a big-money switch to Barcelona, but he was known for his skill, ability in tight spaces and how he could drive at defenders with the ball.
That is a carbon copy of what we can see from Martinez there as he weaves his away from his opponents, and if he continues to perform in the No.10 role, he could be Florian Wirtz's successor at Anfield eventually.
Samuel Martínez recorded 13 goal contributions in 20 appearances while competing for Atlético Nacional U20s in Colombia's U20 league.
The Germany international is still yet to consistently find his groove on Merseyside, and he will hope that some impressive performances for his country during the international break under Jurgen Klopp will help him turn the tide.
Going back to Martinez, the major difference between him and Coutinho is that he is actually over 6ft 1in tall, works hard and covers a lot of ground.
Those traits and his physique make him a bit more similar to another Brazilian who lit up Anfield in Roberto Firmino, who was such an effective player in the No.10 or False 9 role for Liverpool, shining alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in attack.
Martinez may not be in Liverpool's first-team for a few years yet, although he will look to the rise of 18-year-old Rio Ngumoha to see the opportunities he may get if he applies himself correctly.
But whatever happens, from what we've seen so far from clips of him in matchesm he has all the attributes to be a future Anfield superstar.
