Arsenal Injury News And Return Dates: Updates On Ezri Konsa, Christos Tzolis & 5 Others

Arsenal centre-back Ezri Konsa has pulled out of international duty with an unspecified injury.

The defender had been carrying a minor issue, but England boss Thomas Tuchel revealed on Friday that he was ready to play against Croatia at the weekend:

“It seems that Ezri Konsa is back. He did the full training today [Friday], and this is of course a lot of hope for tomorrow, because he is a key player for us.”

Konsa did play the full 90 minutes on Saturday, but it was confirmed on Monday morning that he would not feature against Czechia, and he has returned to Arsenal for treatment.

Expected Return Date – Unknown

Christos Tzolis

The winger lasted just 18 minutes before pulling up with a hamstring injury against the Netherlands on Thursday night.

Tzolis is not expected to feature for Arsenal versus Leeds this weekend. Even a grade one tear could keep him out for two to three weeks, so the Gunners’ next fixture will come too soon.

Expected Return Date – Unknown

Cristhian Mosquera

The centre-back was closing in on his comeback just before the international break, so there is an expectation that he will be fit to face Leeds on Saturday.

Mosquera has not been included in a matchday squad since sustaining a muscular injury against Aston Villa in August.

Expected Return Date – Saturday 10th October vs Leeds (h)
