Former NFL star Le’Veon Bell has offered a strong assessment of Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III after his spectacular start to the 2026 season. Walker has quickly become one of the biggest reasons behind Kansas City’s unbeaten record, creating a growing conversation about his impact and potential league-wide recognition.
Walker has provided the Chiefs with a dynamic presence in the backfield while giving their offense another way to control games. His production has allowed Kansas City to establish a more balanced attack, reducing the pressure on Patrick Mahomes and forcing opposing defenses to account for the running game before focusing on the passing attack.

The running back’s impact has become increasingly difficult to overlook as the Chiefs continue stacking victories. Walker has consistently produced explosive plays and helped Kansas City maintain offensive momentum, making him a critical part of a team that has quickly emerged as one of the league’s strongest contenders.
His performance has also pushed Walker into conversations typically reserved for the NFL’s biggest stars. The combination of his rushing production, efficiency and influence on Kansas City’s offense has made him a legitimate candidate for individual honors while also raising expectations for what he can accomplish over the remainder of the season.

Bell shared his thoughts about how Walker has been playing lately. This can be seen in a post he made on X.
“kenneth walker having a mvp type season so far,” Bell wrote.
Walker has benefited from playing alongside Mahomes, but his contributions extend well beyond simply complementing the quarterback. His ability to create yards, threaten defenses and deliver in important situations has given Kansas City another offensive weapon, while his consistency has helped the team avoid becoming overly dependent on its passing game.
The Chiefs’ perfect start has provided Walker with an opportunity to establish himself among the league’s elite running backs, and Bell’s assessment adds further weight to the attention surrounding him. If Walker maintains his current level of production, his role could become even more important as Kansas City pursues another deep postseason run and potentially a Super Bowl championship.
