Viktor Gyokeres was the hero again for Sweden as they saw off Romania in their Nations League clash.

The Arsenal striker made it seven Nations League games in a row he’s scored in, becoming the first player to achieve such a feat in the tournament’s small history.

For Arsenal fans, seeing Gyokeres hit form after a disappointing start to the season will feel like a massive boost, especially with news that both Kai Havertz and Christos Tzolis could both miss extended periods through injury.

With Sweden, Gyokeres clearly feels like and plays like the main man under Graham Potter.

And looking at what the Swedish media have had to say about the Arsenal man, it looks like they’re very much impressed with the striker as well.

Gyokeres’ record with Sweden is on the verge of becoming something special, with the Arsenal man now having scored 25 times in just 41 appearances.

As for what the national media in Sweden thought of Gyokeres‘ performance, it seems he’s ticking all the right boxes with them as well.

“Right place at the right time again. Goal in the fourth game in a row. But should have scored another when Smith served him an open goal but the ball came quickly and unexpectedly for him. Weak third,” Svenskafans commented.

While FotbollSkanalen also gave the Arsenal man a three out of five star rating, adding:

“”Goal scorer. Again. Became the match hero with the only goal of the match. Also had a good pass to Nanasi who had a great chance to make it 2-0.”

Finally, TV Matchen didn’t go too overboard, giving Gyokeres an average six out of ten but praising the Arsenal man for getting on the scoresheet once again.

“”A top scorer is a top scorer is a top scorer is Viktor Gyökeres. The goal was the easiest thing he did, but it’s all about being in the right place at the right time. Fourth game from the start and not the same bite in the step. But incredible collection.”

Obviously, Gyokeres scoring goals and coming back unscathed is good news for Arsenal.

The big question now is whether Mikel Arteta plays him or not. If not, then it begs the question of if the Gunners boss has lost full faith in the former Coventry and Lisbon man.
