Three Barcelona players nominated in final Golden Boy award shortlist

After another highly successful season, during which they won the La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup titles, several FC Barcelona players are prime candidates to win some of the biggest individual awards as this calendar year reaches its end.

This is most notably the case with [Lamine Yamal, who is one of the favorites to win the Ballon d’Or](https://barcanewsnetwork.com/rafa-yuste-backs-lamine-yamal-for-ballon-dor-it-would-be-justice/) this year, after winning the above-mentioned two trophies with the Blaugranes, and also the World Cup with Spain during the summer. Pau Cubarsi and Rodri Hernandez are also vying for this award.

Meanwhile, several Barcelona players will also be vying for the Golden Boy award this year. This is clear from a report from [Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20261005/1004234972/cubarsi-favorito-lista-25-golden-boy-bernal-espart.html), which highlights that three Blaugrana players, Cubarsi, Marc Bernal, and Xavi Espart, have been named by Tuttosport on their final 25-man shortlist for this award published on Monday.

The young center-back is the favorite to win this award this year, with his amazing campaigns for Barcelona and Spain. He was decisive for both these teams as they completed a very successful year.

Lamine Yamal is also within the age criteria for this award, but he is not included in this list as previous winners of this award cannot get it again, and he won the Golden Boy award back in 2024.

Other notable players from around Europe nominated in this list include Ayoub Bouaddi (Manchester City), Warren Zaire-Emery (PSG), Yan Diomande and Enrick (Real Madrid), Luka Vuskovic (Brighton), Victor Froholdt (Porto), Myles Lewis-Skelly (Arsenal), Rayan (Bournemouth), Jorrel Hato and Estevao (Chelsea), Lennart Karl (Bayern), Junior Kroupi (Bournemouth), Gianluca Prestianni (Benfica), Konstantinos Karetsas (Borussia Dortmund), Saïd El Mala (Cologne), Jon Martín (Real Sociedad), Kerim Alajbegovic (Juventus) and Finn Jeltsch (Stuttgart).

Still, Pau Cubarsi has the best case for this award, and hopefully, he will be able to bring the Golden Boy award back to Barcelona this year.
