Liz Jones Holds Gisele Bündchen Responsible For Her Divorce
Daily Mail columnist Liz Jones held Bündchen responsible for her split with the seven-time Super Bowl winner. Jones argues that Bündchen was allegedly unwilling to maintain their understanding while Brady continued to pursue his love of football. On Monday, she wrote, “I hate men but don’t blame Tom Brady for his divorce… I pity him. I’ve seen Gisele behind the scenes.”
Allegedly, Bündchen was fully aware of Brady’s relentless commitment to his sport when they wed. “Most women rejoice when their husband is always working,” Jones wrote. “So, despite being a misandrist, I don’t entirely blame Tom for the split and feel this new book is, for the most part, a more balanced view of one of the most famous unconscious uncouplings of the modern era.”
According to Jones, Bündchen benefits from “pretty privilege”: “Gisele basked in pretty privilege doubtless all her life, is a perfectionist (did you see her jodhpurs in that Vogue short film about life on her Miami ranch? Not a hint of green slobber on them) and so I pity poor Tom, arriving home sweaty, bruised and battered, to discover, just as CK Dexter Haven did, that being married to Tracy Samantha Lord is damned hard work.
“Perhaps the moral of this whole sorry story is that it turns out Gisele too is a victim of the fashion and beauty industries: women have been brainwashed to never be satisfied; if we are, we stop shopping,” Jones wrote. “We also have no patience, take no prisoners, refuse to compromise and believe nice things bring us happiness: not relationships, not family, not loyalty.”
Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady are parents to Benjamin Rein Brady and Vivian Lake Brady, and she was once stepmother to Brady’s son, John “Jack” Edward Thomas Moynahan, from his prior relationship with Bridget Moynahan. Bündchen remarried jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente and welcomed a baby boy born in February 2025.
