Michael Olise has grown into one of the world’s best footballers currently, and Liverpool have been backed to make a stunning move for him in 2027.

The 25-year-old is a sensational talent who is starring for Bayern Munich and France, scoring twice in his country’s 4-1 win at home to Belgium in the UEFA Nations League on Monday night, and being hailed by Zinedine Zidane last week:

“I saw him dribble past a defender, and I said to myself: ‘He’s going to score’. I was cheering him on with all my heart. He is an extraordinary talent. I love this type of player.”

He added: “When he plays, he wants to entertain the fans. But it doesn’t stop there. He has a great sense of the game, he anticipates the opponent’s movements, and he knows when to attack and when to drop back.”

Olise was linked with a move to Liverpool earlier this year, but in the end, he stayed put at Bayern, where he is contracted until the summer of 2029.

In an interview with Football Insider, former scout Mick Brown claimed that Liverpool could be back in for Olise if he becomes available next year, even though that is far from a certainty:

“Michael Olise is an outstanding player, he’s shown that for Bayern Munich and for France. He’s being spoken about along with Harry Kane and Lamine Yamal as one of the front-runners for the Ballon d’Or, so it’s no surprise there will be interest in him.

“He has shown in the past he can do it in the Premier League with Crystal Palace, so that’s another box ticked as far as Liverpool are concerned. There have been whispers recently that he could leave Bayern Munich before too long, and obviously it’s unlikely to happen in January, but it could be on the cards next summer.

“If Liverpool are given any indication that Olise could be available, I expect they will be all over it because he’s somebody they’ve wanted for a long time.”

Michael Olise is Liverpool’s perfect Mo Salah replacement

As mentioned, there are few better footballers on the planet than Olise, with the Frenchman not only a joy to watch, but also having a huge amount of substance to his game.

He has seven goals and three assists in his last five matches for club and country, as pointed out by Fabrizio Romano on X, while former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore has said this about him:

“He has something extra. When everyone thinks he’s going to pass, he does another dribble, it’s incredible. He is a player who is so beautiful to watch.”

Olise is the dream option to replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool, weaving his left-footed magic from the right wing, but sadly, he feels like an unattainable option.

The Reds would likely have to smash their transfer record to sign the former Crystal Palace man, which will be extremely hard to do, and he also appears to be content in a Bayern shirt.

If Olise’s situation changes, Liverpool simply have to be in the mix to snap him up, but as things stand, it would be a shock to see him in a Reds shirt in 2027.
