**Chelsea are hoping to have Cole Palmer fit and available to face Bournemouth this weekend.**
The 24-year-old withdrew from international duty with a muscular injury and has been working on his fitness with a coach whilst abroad.
Palmer had a series of injury problems last season, and the Blues are keen to ensure that his workload is managed correctly.
In that context, there is an expectation that the attacking midfielder will be available immediately after the international break.
**Expected Return Date – Saturday 10th October vs Bournemouth (h)**
The Brazilian injured his knee during the 2-2 draw against Hull City, and he was subsequently absent for the 3-0 defeat to Brentford.
Initial estimates suggest that Pedro could be out for between 3 and 4 weeks, which would make a comeback this weekend a possibility.

Moises Caicedo
--------------
The midfielder has only played 14 minutes of football so far this season due to a troublesome calf problem.
Caicedo was not called up by Ecuador as he looks to make a full recovery, and there is optimism that he will be ready to make his comeback following the extended international break.
**Expected Return Date – Saturday 10th October vs Bournemouth (h)**
Marco Palestra
--------------
Manager Xabi Alonso has already stated that the fullback would be available for the Bournemouth game, having narrowly missed out on featuring against Brentford last month.
Palestra has been [**pictured in full training**](https://chelseanews.com/blog/chelsea-injury-news-marco-palestra-emmanuel-emegha/) over the past week, so he should be in the matchday squad for the first time this season on Saturday.

Emmanuel Emegha
---------------
Like Palestra, the Dutchman has not made a matchday squad since the beginning of the campaign, but he has been seen training recently.
Emegha could be named as a substitute this weekend, with the aim of getting some minutes off the bench.
**Expected Return Date – Saturday 10th October vs Bournemouth (h)**
Reece James
-----------
Alonso has said that the club captain only narrowly missed out on featuring against Brentford last month after recovering from a hamstring problem.
James wasn’t named in the England squad, so he has had the best part of three weeks to shake off his injury.
**Expected Return Date – Saturday 10th October vs Bournemouth (h)**
Jamie Gittens
-------------
The winger picked up an ankle injury whilst playing for England’s Under-21s against Kazakhstan, and he was pictured on crutches after the match.
Gittens has already returned to Chelsea for treatment, and it looks like he won’t feature in upcoming fixtures.
