Lionel Messi trophies with Argentina
Lionel Messi's trophy cabinet at the international level was, for quite a while, empty. By the time he had turned 30 years old, Messi was thought of as the greatest player ever who couldn't win a major international title.
However, the Argentine finally broke his senior international trophy drought in 2021 as he won the Copa America final at his fourth attempt. He was also part of the team that defended that title in the United States in 2024, sandwiching the famous 2022 World Cup victory.
Prior to that, Messi had won trophies with Argentina's U20 and Olympic team over a decade earlier, although that is considered a youth title and not a full senior international championship since the Olympics are classified as a youth tournament when it comes to soccer.

Lionel Messi trophies with Inter Miami
The Argentine star had an immediate impact in the United States, joining Inter Miami and instantly leading the South Florida side to their first trophy in club history with the 2023 Leagues Cup. Messi's contributions were nothing short of immense, as the club sat bottom of the Eastern Conference when he arrived, but with his influence they exploded to life.
In 2024, Messi led the Herons to regular season glory by winning the Supporters' Shield, although they fell short in the MLS Cup playoffs that year, dumped out in Round One by the nine-seed Atlanta United.
The following season, Messi led Inter Miami to a third-place finish in the Eastern Conference, earning them home-field advantage through the early part of the playoffs. It was then that Messi finally broke through in the postseason, advancing to the MLS Cup final where they met the Vancouver Whitecaps, winning 3-1 as Messi picked up a pair of assists on goals by Rodrigo de Paul and Tadeo Allende.
He also has won three individual trophies since joining Major League Soccer. He was given the MLS Most Valuable Player award in 2024, an award officially named after USMNT legend Landon Donovan. He then secured the 2025 MLS Golden Boot as the top scorer across the regular season, bagging 29 goals in 28 games, five goals more than anyone else, and bagged a second MVP award that season as well.

Lionel Messi trophies with PSG
Lionel Messi only played two seasons with PSG, but he picked up another three pieces of silverware in France.
However, the Parisian giants were really hoping the Argentine would have helped them to win the Champions League title, which did not come to fruition during his time at the club.
Later, Messi would have negative things to say about his time in the French capital, saying he "wasn't happy on a daily basis" and that "it wasn’t easy for me or for my family." He pointed to how PSG fans treated him as a big reason why, claiming "people started to treat me differently, a part of the Paris fans started to treat me differently. There was a rift with a big part of the Paris fans, it was not my intention, far from it, it happened like that. It had happened before with Mbappe and Neymar and I know that’s their way of doing things."
Ultimately, it didn't go as planned at the Ligue 1 club, but he still has some happy memories from his time in France.
