Harvey Elliott is settling into life at Valencia, with the Liverpool loanee already making big adjustments to his life to try and make the most of his spell with the club this season.

The 23-year-old made the move to La Liga late in the summer transfer window, in the hopes that the switch would help rebuild his career after a difficult year or so.

The playmaker had enjoyed an upward trajectory at Liverpool up until last summer, when he made the decision to leave the club to join Aston Villa, with a loan deal with an obligation to buy set at a low number of appearances.

Unai Emery quickly decided that he wasn't keen on that transfer being made permanent, leaving Elliott sidelined for almost the whole season, with the player and the Reds left to pick up the pieces heading into this summer.

While a permanent deal may have been sought after, the midfielder eventually made the move to Valencia on loan for the season, with a change of environment giving him an opportunity to rediscover some form and forge a path forward.

What Elliott walked into, however, was a club in flux. After a few tough defeats, with the Liverpool loanee mainly featuring from the bench, head coach Carlos Corberan was fired, and another change in manager followed, leaving him with no other option but to build up credit with a fresh face in the dugout.

A first win of the season finally came before the international break, though Elliott was on the fringes, leading the team into a three-week stoppage before league action could continue again.

During those three weeks, it seems as though the Liverpool ace has been doing plenty to make sure that he will fit in well with the Valencia squad for the rest of the season.

According to Spanish outlet Radio Marca, Elliott has spent his time in Spain so far adapting to driving in the country, with the challenge of switching from driving on the left side of the road to being on the right instead.

It's claimed that there were some initial difficulties with roundabouts, with it moving in a different direction, but he is now capable of doing that himself.

On top of that, it's claimed that Elliott has started to take Spanish lessons, learning the language during his spare time to help better integrate with the rest of the squad and the coaching staff.

It outlines positive steps for the midfielder, with the personal toll of a move to a new country often being overlooked in how quickly a player can settle on the pitch.

It remains to be seen whether Elliott can now kick on and get a run of games for Valencia to help dig it out of a difficult situation early on in the season, with a huge clash against Racing Santander next.
