**Cam Ward (Titans)** – From Week 3 to Week 4, Ward’s play improved, but it did not show in the box score. Ward was smarter with the football; his one turnover came off a tipped pass from the running back. He was 20-of-31 for 222 passing yards and added 27 yards on the ground.
“We have the utmost confidence in Cam. The kid’s gonna be a damn good quarterback. Everyone just needs to take a deep breath and let him grow. If you can’t objectively watch the tape and look at him from Week 1 last year to Week 1 this year to Week 4 yesterday and not see improvement, then you’re just being biased to your own opinion,” Titans head coach Robert Saleh said.
**Chau Smith-Wade (Panthers)** – Smith-Wade played in only 18% of the Panthers’ defensive snaps. He finished with just one assisted tackle. Unless the play of Akayleb Evans keeps regressing, Smith-Wade’s playing time will stay under 25%.
**Jaden Hicks (Chiefs)** – After playing every defensive snap for the Chiefs through three weeks, Hicks dropped to just 35%. The person to take Hicks’ playtime was safety [Chamarri Conner](https://www.footballguys.com/player/Chamarri+Conner/ConnCh99) played 75% of the defensive snaps. In his snaps, Hicks did not do much, finishing with just one tackle.
**Daiyan Henley (Chargers)** – As usual, Henley had the second-most tackles on the team against the Seahawks. He did not jump off the screen at all and seemed to just be going with the flow. Most of his tackles came five to eight yards down the field. With the Chargers sitting at 0-4, players like Henley, Khalil Mack and Derwin James are potential trade candidates. For Henley, who is two years removed from his Pro Bowl season, a change of scenery might do him good.
**Kyle Williams (Patriots)** – Williams played just 19 snaps, with zero stats collected. He received no targets or rushes. With receiver Mack Hollins injuring his calf and potentially missing Week 5, Williams’ snap count and production could see a big jump.
**Abraham Lucas (Seahawks)** – Week 3 was terrible for Lucas; Week 4 was better, but not by much. Visually, his play has looked mediocre, but statistically it does not. According to Pro Football Focus, Lucas has established himself as one of Seattle’s better offensive linemen. His 77.2 PFF run-blocking grade ranks ninth among tackles, while his 73.6 overall grade ranks No. 19.
**Frankie Luvu (Commanders)** – After missing the last couple of games, Luvu made his return. He had one solo tackle and four assisted tackles. He may not have had a sack or forced fumble, but Luvu’s presence was needed for a Commanders linebacker unit that, outside of rookie Sonny Styles, has no life. However, his presence alone did not stop the Colts from beating the Commanders 30-13.
**Did not play:** Esa Pole, Cam Lampkin, Brennan Jackson, Tucker Large, Gardner Minshew II, Jaylen Watson, Jalen Thompson (placed on IR)
