A fresh update on the ongoing speculation linking Manchester United sensation JJ Gabriel with a move to Spain has this week surfaced online.

The name of attacker Gabriel has of course taken its place centre stage in the media chatter across all of Europe over the course of recent weeks.

After the 15-year-old informed those behind the scenes at Old Trafford of his intention to move on, a host of leading clubs made known their interest in his signature.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have been chief amongst those linked, despite sporting director Deco’s public insistence that the former are in fact not in the Gabriel sweepstakes.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, a fresh insight into the situation has come to the fore. The info comes courtesy of transfer insider Florian Pletteberg of Sky, who reports:

‘JJ Gabriel is set to receive a Cypriot passport in the near future, if all goes to plan. A free transfer in January is planned and therefore possible. Real Madrid and Barcelona are currently very concrete – both ready to offer the XXL package of salary, bonuses and signing-on fee.’

It is also noted that German champions Bayern Munich ‘have held new talks’ with the player’s entourage, whilst Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain remain in the hunt.
