In the latest NFL rumors, the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Chargers could agree to a blockbuster trade in the upcoming weeks. According to Bleacher Report, Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. could be traded to Los Angeles to save its 0-4 season. Unfortunately, the Chargers’ 2026 campaign is a lost cause, and any trades to improve the team are irrelevant. While it makes sense on paper, this sounds like a trade that could happen after the 2026 season. In fact, the Chargers are more likely sellers than buyers ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline.
However, the Cardinals’ former first-round pick could still find a new team. The wideout has been mentioned as a trade candidate last month, and expectations of a deal materializing from officials have grown. The third-year receiver hasn’t matched the same rookie production, finishing with 62 receptions for 885 receiving yards in 2024.
Meanwhile, the Chargers’ offense has looked anything but competitive, so why trade for Harrison now? Khalil Mack, Quentin Johnston and Tuli Tuipulotu have been reported trade candidates this season, so trading for the Cardinals wideout will have to wait.

While Bleacher Report projected that the Chargers would give up a 2027 third-round pick for the Cardinals receiver, there’s an alternative. Los Angeles has Johnston, who has been named in trade rumors this season.
The Chargers could arguably offer Johnston and a late 2028 sixth-round pick in exchange for the Cardinals wideout. It sounds like a sensible deal.
Let’s state the obvious: No team, especially the Chargers at 0-4, is making a postseason run. The trade could happen in March 2027. For now, the Cardinals’ first-rounder is expected to generate interest before next month, and these five teams may be interested.
