Arsenal U16 defender Zachary van der Straaten has been given the number 86 shirt for this season.
The highly rated centre-back has frequently trained with the U18 squad and has also been involved in first-team training sessions in the early stages of the campaign.
Last season van der Straaten made his debut for Arsenal U18s as he featured against West Ham.
Van der Straaten will wear number 86 if he is called up in the EFL Trophy or the UEFA Youth League.
He joins fellow schoolboys Jaden Maghoma (96), Mikael Bonaventure Yetna (97), Luis Munoz (98) and Charlie Phillips (99) in having been given a squad number.
Assuming that number 54 has been reserved for January arrival Victor Ozhianvuna, there are just three more squad numbers available for schoolboys this season – 67, 68 and 69.
U16 defender Frankie Wyatt and U15 winger Bubacarr Jallow appear closest to being considered for involvement.
