While the new season is still in its infancy, Liverpool will already have one eye trained on January and beyond when it comes to transfers. The campaign resumes this weekend with the Reds hosting Manchester City at Anfield.
Andoni Iraola will get a better understanding of what his side is made of when he faces off with Enzo Maresca's men, who are currently top of the Premier League.
The game will most likely give the Basque an indication of what areas of the squad still need addressing, despite the Reds bringing in six new faces this summer.
One player linked with Liverpool is Bayern Munich's Michael Olise, and today's news sees an interesting development surrounding the French star. Elsewhere, the Reds have made a decision on the future of a young star.
Michael Olise contract clause
Former Crystal Palace winger Olise has reportedly made a contract demand to Bayern, as speculation has linked him with a switch to Liverpool. The Reds were rumoured to be in for the winger this summer, however, they elected to swoop for Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz on the flanks.
Spanish outlet Sport claims Olise has asked for a new clause to be included in a fresh deal with Bayern and that the Bundesliga side are obliging. The report indicates that the Frenchman has demanded the clause, which would allow him to depart Bayern for another club under specific circumstances.

German outlet BILD say Bayern are even becoming concerned with the star's eagerness to sign a new extension, with the added release clause said to be worrying some within the Bundesliga club. Olise's current agreement runs until the summer of 2029 and the outlet suggests that the Bavarians wish to tie him down until 2032.
Liverpool transfer decision made
Liverpool youngster Amara Nallo has returned to Anfield after his loan move to HJK Helsinki was terminated due to injury. The 19-year-old defender joined the Finnish side in July until the end of the Veikkausliiga campaign, which wraps up in November.
Nallo is back on Merseyside to undergo his rehabilitation after it became apparent he wouldn't return to fitness in time. The former West Ham United centre-back, who has made three senior appearances for Liverpool to date, started three times for HJK.
HJK confirmed in an official statement, which read: “Amara Nallo's loan spell at HJK has ended due to an injury. Nallo, who previously served as captain of Liverpool’s U21 team, arrived at Klubi in July on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

“After receiving his work permit, the 19-year-old centre-back managed to play two Veikkausliiga matches in August, as well as an away game against Motherwell in the Conference League qualifiers.
“An injury kept Nallo on the sidelines for all of September, and he will not recover in time before the end of the Veikkausliiga season.
"The centre-back has already returned to Liverpool to rehabilitate his leg injury. Thank you for the visit, Amara!” Liverpool confirmed Nallo’s return, with the defender now set to undergo his recovery at the AXA Training Centre.
