Julian Alvarez
Julian Alvarez remains an important transfer target for Arsenal, and the Argentina international has made a decision that could affect his future.
During the summer, the Gunners did everything possible to sign him, but Alvarez reportedly wanted to join Barcelona. Atletico Madrid blocked that move, leaving the forward without his preferred destination.
Arsenal could have offered him the chance to return to the Premier League, where he had already played before. However, the World Cup winner chose to remain at Atletico rather than move to north London.
He has not made the best start to the season, and his future has now become more uncertain. Fichajes reports that Alvarez has dismissed his long-serving agent after the failed attempt to engineer a transfer to Barcelona.
Alvarez searches for new agent
Alvarez wants a new representative to manage his career. His father is reportedly leading the search for new representatives, while Javier Pastore has emerged as a potential candidate to take over his representation.
The decision follows a difficult summer in which Alvarez remained at Atletico despite wanting to leave. His agent had tried to facilitate a move to Barcelona, but the transfer failed to materialise.
The change could create a new opportunity for Arsenal. The Gunners have maintained their interest in Alvarez and could attempt to convince his new representative that a move to England would benefit the forward.

Arsenal hopes to change his mind
Arsenal believes Alvarez would strengthen its attack and remains interested in testing Atletico’s resolve. However, the player has previously made it clear that Barcelona was his preferred destination.
His new representative could play an important role in determining what happens next. If Arsenal can persuade Alvarez to reconsider the Premier League, the Gunners may have a realistic chance of reaching an agreement.
Atletico would reportedly be willing to listen to a suitable offer, although Alvarez remains under contract until 2030. Any transfer would therefore depend on the Spanish club’s demands and the forward’s willingness to change his preference.
For now, Alvarez is still an Atletico player, but Arsenal will continue monitoring the situation. The appointment of a new agent could give the Gunners renewed hope of completing a deal in the future.
