Arsenal are being credited with an interest in signing Fulham star Josh King as the January transfer window approaches. The Gunners made four signings in the summer and were expected to go into the market for further new additions before the deadline last month.
Mikel Arteta, along with sporting director Andrea Berta, opted to strengthen multiple areas of their squad in the summer, with Bruno Guimaraes (midfield), Ezri Konsa (defence), Christos Tzolis (attack) and Illan Meslier (goalkeeper) all moving to the Emirates Stadium.
Another new wide forward was reportedly on the shortlist for Arsenal in the summer, with Vinicius Jr. and Julian Alvarez both linked with moves to north London.
Now, though, with the January window still a few months away from opening, reports have now emerged claiming that another player is now of interest to Arsenal.
According to Swiss outlet 4-4-2.ch, Arsenal have joined the race to sign King from Fulham, but will face competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool, as well as Borussia Dortmund.
Arteta is reported to be "convinced" that King has the qualities needed to be a success for Arsenal, although it remains to be seen if this will lead to an offer being made for the England Under-21s international.
Fulham are reported to value King at around €60million (£51million), but are not expected to sanction an exit in January, with next summer the most likely time when the 19-year-old playmaker could leave Craven Cottage.
King’s contract with Fulham runs until the summer of 2029, and there is no sign yet that an extension could be on the cards in the near future.

The rumours linking Arsenal with a move for King come at a time when Noni Madueke is being linked with a departure from the Emirates Stadium.
Reports this week have claimed that Madueke is attracting interest from clubs across Europe, notably Atletico Madrid and Juventus.
Madueke only signed for Arsenal last summer from Chelsea for £48.5million, but has yet to start a single Premier League match, and is now being linked with a move away from the Gunners, potentially even as soon as January.
