Liverpool have plenty of exciting young players coming through their ranks at the moment, with the recruitment team putting a real focus on snapping up some of the best talents in the country.
Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni were both acquired from elsewhere, showcasing the value in going after players in other English academies. However, Liverpool have also been on the receiving end of these tactics.
Just last week, 16-year-old Isaac Konde joined Manchester United, while another Isaac, Moran, left for Newcastle over the summer. Both were highly-rated at Anfield, along with Irish youngster Kai Morrall, who, having moved to Leeds in December, has now been tipped as one of the Guardian’s ‘Next Generation‘.

Kai Morrall named as one of the top talents in England
Given he left Liverpool before even turning 16, many Reds fans likely have not heard of Morrall. According to the Guardian, though, he is a ‘highly versatile’ player who can play on either wing, at full-back or as a No. 10.
Also said to be ‘blessed with impressive vision, balance, pace and creativity,’ the 16-year-old is already impressing at Leeds, where he has jumped into the U18s squad.
Morrall reportedly left Liverpool after deciding that there would be a more open pathway to first-team football at Elland Road.
The teenager is said to have been ‘highly regarded’ by the Reds, but with rival Premier League scouts reported to have received wind that he may want to move on, Leeds swooped in to claim him.

Josh Abe named as Liverpool’s one to watch
Although they have lost Morrall, Liverpool still have plenty of talents of their own left to develop, including Josh Abe, who was named as the Reds’ ‘Next Generation’ candidate.
Abe was given a chance in pre-season by Andoni Iraola this summer, and though he may not have made as big an impact as he would have wanted, he still showed glimpses of the potential he undoubtedly has.
Some fans may have expected to see Abe as part of Iraola’s first-team plans this season and will have been wondering what has happened to him so far.
The Guardian clear it up, confirming that the 16-year-old dislocated his shoulder during the first U18s match of the season and is now ‘expected back soon.’
Elsewhere, there is another Liverpool mention, with Hull City right-back Jude Crawford supposedly a ‘big admirer’ of fellow Northern Irishman Conor Bradley. One to watch.
