Drake Maye Earns NFL Honor For Week 4 Performance

Drake Maye has made headlines multiple times this year. While it's been a tough start to his season, Maye looked sharp in his Week 4 win against the Bills. He was awarded for a bounce-back effort.

Maye was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. It’s the second time he’s earned the honor, and his first since December 2025.

In the [Patriots](https://nesn.com/new-england-patriots)’ 29-26 win over the Bills, Maye went 22-for-37, with 269 yards and three touchdown passes. One touchdown came in the fourth, throwing a 23-yard pass to Efton Chism III, who caught the ball with one hand. Maye also ran eight times for 54 yards

The win gave the Bills their first team loss at the new Highmark Stadium.

The Week 4 performance was a rebound for Maye after he threw two interceptions and had 199 passing yards in a loss against the Jaguars. Maye has nine turnovers this year. Though he had a few against the Bills, his three touchdowns were key in the Patriots' win.

Selected third in the 2024 NFL Draft,  Maye led the Patriots to the Super Bowl last year, where the team lost against the Seahawks. He was second in MVP voting last season.

Maye will have another shot at Player of the Week honors when the Patriots host the Raiders in Week 5.
