Everybody knows how fierce the rivalry is between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The North London Derby games every season are a sight to behold, even though the Gunners have dominated the fixture – historically and in recent years.
The two sets of fans just don’t like each other, and players and staff rarely ever cross the divide. Sol Campbell is the most famous example of playing for both clubs, and Spurs supporters hate him even to this day.
One Arsenal legend could’ve found himself in a similar predicament, but he made the wise decision in the end.

Arsenal legend David Seaman reveals what he said when Tottenham offered him a job
David Seaman is one of Arsenal’s biggest legends.
The Englishman was at the club for 13 years, played 563 games and won 12 trophies. He was one of the best goalkeepers in the game during that period and produced several memorable moments.
Towards the end of his time at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger offered Seaman a coaching job at the club, but the keeper rejected it and moved to Manchester City to continue his playing career.
Once that spell was done and he hung up his boots, Seaman has claimed that he received a few offers, one of which was from Harry Redknapp to work at Tottenham Hotspur.
Seaman had an immediate response, and Arsenal fans will absolutely love it.
He said on the Rip and Reveal podcast: “Arsene wanted me as his full-time coach. But I wasn’t ready for that. I felt I could still play. So I went to Man City.
“Then Petr Cech wanted me (at Chelsea), and then Harry wanted me when he was at Tottenham. I was like: ‘No chance!’
“When Harry was at Tottenham, I was like: ‘No way! Anywhere else, I’d think about it. But not there.”
Seaman coaches the young goalkeepers at Arsenal from time to time these days, and he is still adored by everyone at the club. The fans absolutely love him too.
That affection may not have been the same had he agreed to join Tottenham all those years ago.
