INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) — The Colts look to continue their momentum from a two-game winning streak as they travel to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers on Sunday.

Colts head coach Shane Steichen was 2-0 in his first two games against the Steelers in Indianapolis, but the Colts lost on the road to the Steelers last season.

Historically, the Colts have struggled against the Steelers. They have an 8-28 record against Pittsburgh and have not beaten the Steelers on the road since 2008.

“We know it’s a big one,” Steichen said. “I told the guys it’s always a big one because it’s the next one and we’re going into a hostile environment and we know it’s going to be a physical football game for four quarters. We got to have that mindset and be ready to go.”

The Steelers are tied for second in the NFL in takeaways this season. Daniel Jones has turned the ball over five times in the last two games. Steichen shared what he is emphasizing to Jones and the offense this week.

“Ball security has got to be at a premium and that’s got to be every week,” Steichen said. “The last two weeks haven’t been what we wanted to be. It’s really an anomaly we found a way to win the last two games losing the turnover battle. So, ball security has got to be in a premium against these guys.”

Sunday will also be the first time the Colts will play against Michael Pittman Jr., who spent the first six seasons of his career in Indianapolis.

“First of all, I got a ton of respect for Pitt (Pittman Jr.),” Steichen said. “One of the toughest guys I’ve ever been around. Physical, made so many plays for us here. Really more than anything, I’m looking forward to seeing him pregame, saying hello to him. I’m sure he’ll be charged up and ready to go for the game.”

The Colts are scheduled to kick off against the Steelers at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
