The New Orleans Saints walked out to boos following their dismal performance versus the Atlanta Falcons. Wednesday saw Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara absent from practice.

So the former isn't anything to worry about, with Saints insider for The Athletic Katherine Terrell citing rest as the reason. But the running back Kamara's situation sounds concerning.

The All-Pro left banged up following the 45-24 loss to the NFC South rival. Terrell dropped this update on where things stand with Kamara.

“Alvin Kamara had back soreness today but his knee was checked after the game and was OK, [coach] Kellen Moore said,” Terrell posted on the social media website X, formerly Twitter.

Kamara managed to score late in the second quarter that sliced the lead to 14-7. He settled for seven carries for 23 yards and scored twice. Atlanta turned him into a closet short-yardage back, as both touchdowns came inside the five-yard line.

Olave rose as a big highlight for what became a dismal night for the offense: Catching eight passes for 116 yards. Yet Atlanta kept him out of the end zone. Olave averaged 14.5 yards per catch inside the Superdome.

New Orleans is off to a slow start in the second season of Moore, dropping to 1-3 overall. Moore was once considered a lauded hire following winning a Super Bowl as the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive coordinator in the 2024 season. He also delivered stout offenses during his run with the Dallas Cowboys before parting ways with the team in 2022. Moore had a one season stop with the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2023 season too.
