The Titans are taking Sunday as an opportunity to do what they’ve preached: own the South.
“One of the things we talk about is owning the South. And owning it is not just a one-time thing. We want to own it for as long as we’re here. And this is our first crack at a division opponent. It’s a very talented group, obviously. They’re nowhere near indicative of what their record is. So it’s important to be able to compete and challenge the other three teams in your division,” head coach Robert Saleh said.
“It’s a big game for both sides, for the organization. This is a must-win game, just like every other week. But I think the best things that we’re looking forward to is that we treat it as just another game. But in our mind, we know it means something more than that,” Cam Ward said.
Both teams come into Sunday at 0-4. It is just the seventh matchup between two teams both carrying that record in the Super Bowl era.
Kickoff at Nissan Stadium is at 12 p.m. CT on Sunday.
