The Chelsea Chronicle have predicted how Chelsea will get on in every game in the Premier League until the next international break in November.
Xabi Alonso’s start to life as Chelsea manager was halted by a three-week long international break, which saw players like Romeo Lavia and Maxence Lacroix star for their countries.
The likes of Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer withdrew from representing their nations due to ongoing injury woes, with their participation against Bournemouth up in the air.
Chelsea needed this break BADLY… but with so many players racking up minutes for their countries, did it actually help them or could it have made things worse? 🤔
Let us know your reasoning! 👇
Why is Chelsea not looking at a defender like Calvin Bassey and do everything to sign that beast of a defender. Because he has everything attributes of being a great addition to any top club in the league

A catch 22. Alonso had seen the talent that he'd been left with after the deadline. Had he been left with those he wanted. When was the last time we had a settled defence, be it back 3, or 4 or even a 5. Profit has come before stability. Hopefully now Stewart has gone things may change. If not they'll stay the way they are

Some games, I think it’s pointless. At home against low blocks, I’d rather see Estevao in a four-man attack than an extra centre-back in a five-man defence.
Alonso will be desperate to put an end to three games in a row without a win in the Premier League, despite their entertaining football in attack in particular.
Let’s take a look at how we think the Blues will get on in their next five league games before players head off for international duty again.
Chelsea vs Bournemouth – October 10
Chelsea’s return to Premier League action comes with a home game against Bournemouth, who are yet to win in the league this season.
Both sides are set to see a number of players miss the game through injury, although we’re expecting the Blues to have too much for their opponents in this one.
Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Bournemouth
Everton vs Chelsea – October 17
The decent fixtures on paper continue with a trip to Everton, where they were soundly beaten last season.
We are predicting the Blues to avenge that result, as well as keep their first Premier League clean sheet of the season at the Hill Dickinson stadium.
Prediction: Everton 0-3 Chelsea
Chelsea vs Tottenham – October 24
A game Chelsea fans have got used to winning at Stamford Bridge. They even managed to take three points against them with Calum McFarlane in charge last season.
We are expecting their perfect start beyond the international break to continue, inflicting more misery on an already-struggling Spurs.
Prediction: Chelsea 4-2 Tottenham

Chelsea vs Manchester United – October 31
While Chelsea have struggled at Old Trafford for over a decade now, they have fared far better at Stamford Bridge in this fixture.
Michael Carrick’s side are struggling, and we think the Blues will do enough in the early stages of this game to blow United away.
Prediction: Chelsea 3-2 Man United
Sunderland vs Chelsea – November 8
The fixture which cost Chelsea a place in Europe this season, the Blues have infamously struggled at stadiums where the atmosphere has been too much for them.
Unfortunately, we believe it’ll be the same again here, the first example since the international break where the Chelsea attack will fail to fire.
Prediction: Sunderland 1-0 Chelsea
Total prediction:
Wins: 4
Draws: 0
Losses: 1
Goals scored: 12
Goals conceded: 6
