FC Barcelona are one of the clubs that have been linked most closely with the Manchester United youngster JJ Gabriel. The young forward recently asked the Red Devils for a departure, and since then, he has been one of the hottest topics in European football, as several European giants continue to fight for him.
In this regard, the Blaugranes are facing a fight from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich. Some recent reports suggest that [the two Spanish clubs are currently ahead in this race](https://barcanewsnetwork.com/manchester-united-wonderkid-jj-gabriel-spotted-in-barcelona-amid-transfer-links/), but it remains to be seen how this matter will ultimately conclude.
An update on this operation has been provided by the journalist Christian Falk in his latest column on [CF Bayern Insider](https://cfbayerninsider.com/2026/10/the-bayern-insider-lennart-karl-future-depends-on-michael-olise-decision/?_gl=1*szv3pp*_up*MQ..*_ga*Mzc2NjQ2MDAxLjE3OTE0NDY5MTM.*_ga_R6SPJS73BT*czE3OTE0NDY5MTIkbzEkZzAkdDE3OTE0NDY5MTIkajYwJGwwJGgw). The journalist reveals that PSG have already made a move and are pushing to start talks with his agency, Epic Sports, headed by Ali Barat, only days after the youngster turned 16 years of age. However, the journalist also believes that Real Madrid and Barcelona are ahead of the other interested clubs.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich would also be an interesting option for Gabriel, especially with how several youngsters have made their way to the first team and are playing regularly under Vincent Kompany. Thus, the Bavarian side still remains an option for the Englishman, even though the German club itself is not pushing too hard for his acquisition at this point in time, and is mainly monitoring the actions of other involved clubs.
However, if JJ Gabriel was to make his decision on this factor, Barcelona would still be the best-suited club for him, as Hansi Flick has several youngsters from La Liga playing regularly in his team, including the likes of Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi, Fermin Lopez, and Gavi. Going forward, it remains to be seen which of these clubs will win the race for JJ Gabriel.
