‘Good Morning America’ visits Lambeau Field ahead of Packers-Bears rivalry game

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) — “Good Morning America” correspondent Rhiannon Ally visited Lambeau Field on Thursday as the show counts down to Super Bowl 61 with stops at all 32 NFL stadiums.

The visit comes ahead of the Green Bay Packers’ rivalry game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Oct. 11. Kickoff is scheduled for noon Central time.

For Ally, the stop was a first trip to Lambeau Field. Her first NFL game, when she was 16, was a Kansas City Chiefs game against the Packers at Arrowhead Stadium.

“Time to shine. I am so excited,” Ally said. “This is a bit of a full-circle moment for me.”

Ally, who grew up a Chiefs fan in Kansas City, Missouri, said she knows how passionate Chiefs fans can be. But she said visiting other NFL cities has shown her that Packers fans bring just as much — and sometimes more — intensity.

“I love a city like Green Bay, where just the whole town is so excited for the new football season,” she said. “It truly is unique.”

Ally said GMA segments about Lambeau Field include a look behind the scenes at the team’s seamstresses, local food, and Packers fans. She also said she planned to try a special local food but kept the details under wraps: “I’m not going to give it away right here.”
