Barcelona, Spain – The likelihood of Barcelona star Raphinha missing the upcoming match against Getafe has increased, as the Brazilian player continued training individually and did not join the team’s group session on Thursday.
RAC1 radio reported that Raphinha remains in contention for the match against Getafe, scheduled for Saturday, despite not participating in group training.
The Brazilian player is expected to undergo further medical examinations tomorrow, Friday, to determine his fitness for the match and to make a final decision regarding his inclusion in the Barcelona squad.
In the same context, the newspaper “Sport” predicted that coach Hansi Flick would not rely on Rafinha in the starting lineup against Getafe, indicating the possibility of him being on the bench if he recovers in a way that allows him to participate.
Flick is also considering the possibility of resting Rafinha against Getafe, especially given the difficult schedule of matches that awaits Barcelona in the coming period.
After facing Getafe, Barcelona will play a series of tough matches against Galatasaray, Real Betis, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid respectively.
Rafinha has been delivering impressive performances with Barcelona this season, having participated in 8 matches across all competitions, during which he scored 14 goals and provided 3 assists.
