We all are focused on the future and whether the San Francisco 49ers can win the Super Bowl this year, but there’s still plenty of interesting history in the 49ers past worth revisiting. Way back in 2008, 2009, and 2010, we ran a series of articles looking at every single season in 49ers history.
The writer used the handle howtheyscored at the time, and later Garrett Croker. You can check out all his other content at [his profile page](/authors/howtheyscored). I can’t remember exactly how we connected but as you can see in the intro, I reached out to him and he was down to write this series. Niners Nation got started in December 2006 and while we always liked focusing on the current team and everything moving forward, the Niners have a rich history. We have a strong mix of young, middle aged, and older readers. Some know everything there is to know about 49ers history, but plenty don’t.
Below I’ve linked every article Garrett wrote. I’d recommend bookmarking this and giving the articles a read as you get time. He said from the start he didn’t have a lot of knowledge about the Niners history. He put in a lot of work learning about this and he put together really fun articles. Enjoy!
