Liverpool has seemingly dropped a hint about the fitness of Jeremy Jacquet, after the star was spotted in team training before the clash with Manchester City.
The French defender has been a doubt for the Reds over the past few days following a slight injury issue that he picked up towards the end of the international break.
A strain to the centre-back's left hamstring meant that he missed out on Les Bleus' final match of the break against Belgium, coming as a slight surprise after his impressive performances before that.
Jacquet's absence has created plenty of concern among supporters, with Liverpool sweating on the fitness of the star for the important Premier League encounter on Sunday against Man City, where many will hope that he can continue his fine form alongside Virgil van Dijk.
There has been a hint that he could be involved, with the 21-year-old spotted in pictures posted by the club featuring the players doing their training regime in the gym.
It's only a slight hint, however, as it does not fully confirm that he will feature in full training on the grass in preparation for Man City at Anfield over the weekend, with the next few days set to shed some more light on his status.
Jacquet's importance in the early stages of his career at Liverpool is difficult to overstate, having settled in well alongside Van Dijk in a backline that appears much more functional than last season.
The French international has added an element of calmness and composure at the back, acting like a silky dictator of play with the ball in build-up, while he has been more than competent when it comes to the usual defensive duties many would expect of him.

It underlines why Liverpool fans have been so concerned about the possibility of losing Jacquet for a meeting with Man City that could prove to be the toughest test the backline has faced so far this season.
The summer recruit isn't the only concern that Iraola will be concerned by, with the international break being far from kind to the stars who jetted around the world to feature for their nations.
Both Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo are doubts for the match after they both withdrew from international duty early on, due to their respective injuries.
The former had a "minor" thigh problem, creating some hope that the timeframe may be short enough for him to feature at the weekend. The latter, on the other hand, suffered an awkward fall on his ankle that is predicted to leave him sidelined for a few weeks, though the exact extent of his injury is unclear.
Unlike Jacquet, neither star featured in the aforementioned training photos, dropping another hint about their fitness and the condition they are currently in.
It remains to be seen whether they will return in time, with the alternative leaving Iraola having to make some difficult decisions with his team.
