For the Chelsea supporters who want Garnacho gone permanently, it is not time to hit the panic button. There is still every chance that the 22-year-old is sold at the end of his loan spell.
According to The Telegraph, sources are insisting that Garnacho’s situation is not the same as Elliott’s. It is thought that Unai Emery is confident that the former Manchester United star can rediscover his best form again.
In the summer, Villa also signed Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea, and the striker is now starting to deliver. He recently scored in their 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur and has also found the back of the net in the Champions League.
With the international break over, Emery will now be hoping that he can get something out of Garnacho, more than what Chelsea got. The Argentina international scored just one goal in 24 Premier League appearances last season.
Alejandro Garnacho’s stats at Aston Villa so far
Garnacho has played just 30 minutes of football this season. In total, he has made three appearances.
Unsurprisingly, the loanee has not scored or provided an assist. He has not had much time to. Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink recently discussed Garnacho, claiming that there is no way back for him in west London.
Because of Xabi Alonso’s system, which does not use traditional wingers, Hasselbaink does not see where Garnacho would fit.
