Noni Madueke is attracting interest from two European heavyweights after a slow start to the new season. Juventus and Atletico Madrid are reportedly weighing January loan offers for the winger, and he could now leave Arsenal, as per latest transfer news.
Why Noni Madueke Is Short of Minutes
As reported by talkSPORT, the winger has played fewer than 30 minutes of Premier League football this season. His start in the Carabao Cup did bring a goal, but that has been the highlight of a quiet campaign. He also came off the bench for 18 minutes during the 1-0 Champions League win at Napoli. Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta has leaned heavily on Bukayo Saka, who is fully fit again on the right side.
The lack of action has started to cost him at international level too. For Noni Madueke, missing out on the latest England squad under Thomas Tuchel was a clear setback. The decision looks harsher because he was in Tuchel’s World Cup squad earlier this summer. Playing time at club level plainly matters when national selection is on the line.
The Gunners also have more attacking choices than they did last year. Christos Tzolis arrived in the summer and has impressed, which gives the manager another option in wide areas. As a result, the winger has a smaller window to prove himself, so every short brief appearance has to count.

EFL Cup 3 0 0 3 67%

Juventus and Atletico Madrid Eye Noni Madueke
Reports say Juventus and Atletico Madrid have followed Noni Madueke for some time. Both clubs reportedly like the winger’s direct style and his willingness to take on defenders. More suitors could well emerge if the Gunners ever agree to discuss a move.
A loan appears to be the most realistic route for now. Reports suggest any deal could include an option to buy, which would let a club test the player before it commits a large fee. That approach makes sense in midseason, because neither suitor would want to overspend on a short-term solution.
The winter window does not open until 1 January, so there is still time for the situation to shift. A run of starts in the coming weeks might ease the interest. Still, should Noni Madueke stay a substitute, an exit in midwinter looks far more realistic. Losing a useful squad member at that stage would also carry some risk for the manager.

How the Winger Has Fared Since Joining
Noni Madueke moved across London from Chelsea in July 2025 in a £52million deal. Nine goals and four assists have come from his 48 appearances for Arsenal. His Premier League return stands at three goals, and the Champions League has produced the same number. That is a respectable tally for a player who has spent considerable time on the bench.
In the league, he has begun 16 of 37 matches for Arteta, which marks him out as a rotation option rather than a fixture. The real obstacle remains Saka, who holds the right-wing role when fit. A hamstring knock picked up on international duty has sidelined Tzolis, and that could open the door for Madueke.
The reigning champions may still need him. Saka cannot play every minute across four competitions, and injuries can change plans quickly. For that reason, a loan would help his rhythm but could also leave the squad short of depth, so the final decision may stay open until the winter window.
