Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce shone in ESPN’s new NFL Network booth, calling Sunday’s IndianapolisColts-Washington Commanders game from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the first of four games he’s set to call for the network this season.
As great as things are going professionally for Kelce, his wife, Kylie, has found herself forced to make some tough decisions when it comes to their family.
“I made it a point to stop putting their faces on my social media,” Kylie said of her daughters during an appearance on _The Squeeze_ podcast.
Kelce explained that although she used to be comfortable sharing their faces, her feelings changed as the attention surrounding her family increased. Not only has Jason transitioned to the media side of the NFL since retiring, but she has her own podcast, and her sister-in-law is now global pop sensation Taylor Swift, who married Jason’s brother Travis over Fourth of July weekend.
“When we had our first, I was not necessarily in the public eye. Like, obviously I was married to my husband and, and he had a large following just because of football. As life has gone on and things have changed, I post infrequently overall, and I post even less frequently our children.”
Kylie also isn’t interested in putting an emoji over her children’s faces, as some parents do.
“I don’t quite understand the posting of photos of their faces and putting an emoji on top of it. I just find it super confusing,” she said.
Although her daughters have made cameos on her and Jason’s podcasts, Kylie emphasized that they’ll never be a part of any sponsorships.
“Our kids have never been included in any brand deal, any sponsorship. I feel really strongly about going forward, just for their safety, to not include them in anything.”
Although Swift’s presence in their lives has inadvertently led to more privacy for Kylie’s family, her daughters are more than thrilled to have Swift as their new aunt.
“The girls are thrilled. They’re so excited they’re getting another aunt. And we could not be more excited for them and what the future holds. We love, love, and we love Taylor and Trav,” said on _Good Morning America_ last year.
