Green Bay UFO Museum Gift Shop and Records featured on Packers broadcast

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A few seconds on a Packers broadcast put the Green Bay UFO Museum Gift Shop and Records in front of a large audience, and the store’s owner said he didn’t expect it to happen.

Pierre Jacque, owner of the Green Bay UFO Museum Gift Shop and Records, said he felt confusion when he got the call from Amazon that his store would be featured on a Packers Thursday night broadcast.

“Um, just like, what are you doing? Why is this happening?” Jacque said.

How the segment came together

-----------------------------

“Amazon called us and was like, you know, we’re shooting around town with the NFL. We’re trying to get some B-roll of exciting, interesting locations that maybe aren’t football. And so, they came down and brought some dudes from NFL Films with them. And just kind of hung out for a while. Didn’t really know what was going on,” Jacque said.

During the broadcast of the September 24 Packers game vs the Falcons, the Green Bay UFO Museum Gift Shop and Records appeared on screen.

“I started getting text messages right away,” Jacque said.

Jacque said he was watching the game but missed the spot while helping a customer. The texts tipped him off, and he later found a recording to see it for himself.

“It was really exciting. It was a cool thing, and I think they did a great job of utilizing the elements in here to tell a story,” Jacque said.

Not a traditional museum

------------------------

Despite the name, the business isn’t a traditional museum with exhibits. It’s a record store with a gift-shop side, selling music alongside UFO-themed items and other unusual finds.

Jacque hopes that with the extra attention, people of all backgrounds and interests will stop by.

Jacque said it’s still early to measure the impact of the ad, but with a Bears-Packers game ahead, the store could see a new wave of curious fans.
