LeBron James is set to finally play for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Addressing the media in his pregame speech, Sixers coach Nick Nurse confirmed to reporters that James will suit up in Thursday's preseason road game against the Brooklyn Nets.
Joining James would be Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid, as Philly will feature its star-studded five that includes Jaylen Brown and V.J. Edgecombe for the first time.
LeBron James set for 76ers preseason debut
LeBron James skipped the 76ers' preseason opener last Monday amid chronic arthritis in his left foot and sciatica in his lower back, as Philadelphia outlasted the New York Knicks with a 120-97 win.
As the 41-year-old superstar has been activated this Thursday, the wait is finally over across the Sixers fanbase.
James joined the 76ers this past offseason via a two-year, $8 million veteran minimum contract, teaming up with Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and V.J. Edgecombe to help Philadelphia win its first NBA title since 1983.
While it might just be an exhibition game with the Brooklyn Nets, NBA fans are still eagerly looking forward to seeing James wearing a Sixers uniform in the hardwood.
