Jimmy Butler Warriors return timeline teased by Steve Kerr

Steve Kerr might have hinted at the potential comeback point for Jimmy Butler in the Golden State Warriors.

Although he acknowledged that he still has no definitive answers, the Warriors coach suggested February as a possible return window for both Butler and Moses Moody as they continue recovering from their respective injuries.

"No idea. I’m just throwing February out there because that’s about a year post-injury," Kerr told the media in his Thursday presser, per Joseph Dycus of The Mercury News.

"So it’ll be somewhere around that time."

Jimmy Butler, Moses Moody could return by February for Warriors?

Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody are currently sidelined for the Golden State Warriors as they continue their long-term rehabilitation from severe knee injuries suffered last season.

Butler is recovering from a torn right ACL that he suffered in January. Meanwhile, Moody notably sustained a ruptured left patellar tendon last March.

Both players are expected to miss the early portion of the Dubs' upcoming 2026-27 campaign.

Beyond Butler and Moody, the Warriors are also dealing with the health uncertainty of Kristaps Porzingis.

The Latvian star has yet to make any concrete progress amid ongoing recovery from a mysterious illness. Porzingis has missed Golden State's Media Day, training camp, and is still out of the preseason action.
