The Premier League is back this weekend after a three-week break, and Liverpool returns to action with a difficult test against Manchester City.
Andoni Iraola will get another clear view of how his team has taken on his methods and tactical ideas, in the first of nine games before the next international break in November.
The early parts of the season have suggested that there are some glaring areas for improvement within the squad that will need to be addressed, and while some of that could come from internal changes by the manager, other switches may need to be made in the transfer market.
Links continue to arise over potential transfer targets to fill those possible problem areas, along with some exits that could occur in the near future. So, with that said, here's a look at the latest Liverpool transfer news ahead of another busy day of action.

Several clubs have been linked with the goalkeeper as a result, including Juventus, who have been in the market for a goalkeeper, but ultimately landed Guglielmo Vicario on loan from Tottenham, with a view to making a permanent signing next summer.
While that has still left the door open to Alisson joining the club at the end of his contract, should the Old Lady decide against signing their current loanee option, that possibility is now seeming less likely.
TMW in Italy reports that Juventus is already considering the option to trigger the permanent signing of Vicario, following an impressive start to life in Turin.
It's a move that provides something of a twist for Alisson, who may face the prospect of looking at other clubs if he is to leave Liverpool next summer.
Liverpool.com says: It's still early days in the season, and there is currently no guarantee of what will happen with Alisson at Liverpool.
The Reds may decide that a new contract could be on the cards, which would change everything, but that may well be dependent on his performances and the demands for a deal.
If Juventus is off the market as an option, that could make Alisson reconsider the possible paths he could take, but there is still a long way before a final decision can be taken.
Michael Kayode (Brentford)

Amid Liverpool's ongoing right-back difficulties, links have emerged surrounding a possible deal for Brentford star Michael Kayode in the coming transfer windows.
However, the Reds are seemingly not alone, as TeamTalk reports that Manchester City is also placing itself in the mix to sign the Italian international.
It's claimed that the side is still working through transfer options for future markets, despite ongoing uncertainty with the club's guilty verdict from an independent panel relating to charges against it from the Premier League. Sanctions could result in heavy points deductions, fines, or even expulsion, subject to an appeal from the club, but for now the club is treating it like "business as usual".
Man City joining the mix could make things awkward for Liverpool, while other Premier League clubs are also rumored to be interested in the defender.
Liverpool.com says: It's clear that Liverpool needs to consider the right-back position due to the uncertainty that has come there over the past season or so.
Kayode could offer plenty there, in both an attacking and defending sense, but there may be difficulties getting a deal done if others are involved.
The Merseyside outfit has several positions that need to be addressed, and being caught in a bidding war for one player could prove to be detrimental elsewhere in the team.
