Daniel Farke says Arsenal have done something in recent years that no other club could do

Arsenal take on Leeds United next, and Daniel Farke has been raving about the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta has a great record against the Whites. He has faced them 10 times as a manager and is unbeaten – winning nine and drawing the other fixture. Even last season, Arsenal battered Leeds home and away, beating them 9-0 on aggregate across the two games.

Farke will be hoping for a better result when the two sides meet on Saturday, but he is fully aware of the ginormous task in hand.

Daniel Farke says Arsenal have been more consistent than any other team in recent years

Arsenal have been on an upward trajectory for many years now.

The Gunners were first involved in the Premier League title race in the 2022/23 season and finished runners-up that campaign. That was again the case in the next two campaigns.

Instead of praising Arsenal for being consistent, people ridiculed Arteta’s side for not getting over the line, but that narrative was thrown out of the window after Arsenal won the league last season.

Farke, who has been on the wrong end of several defeats against the Gunners, appears to be a big fan of the Gunners and heaped praise on their consistency.

He said in his press conference, as relayed on Beanyman Sports: “It’s probably the biggest task at the moment to play away at Arsenal.

“For me, based on objective reasons, they are currently one of the best teams, if not the best team in Europe – and if you’re one of the best teams in Europe, then you’re automatically also one of the best in the world. No other team has had this consistency over the last years.

“They won the title in the best league in the world, the Premier League, fully deserved also last season, after finishing as runners-up prior to that. No other team had this consistency. They reached the Champions League final, and they are also the big favourite to win the title again this season.”

Arsenal’s consistency in recent seasons is unmatched

In the last four seasons, Arsenal have finished second three times and won the Premier League title last season.

Yes, that has opened the door for ridicule from rival fans, with many even singing ‘second again, ole, ole’.

However, no other side in the Premier League can boast such consistency of finishing in the top two in four consecutive seasons over the same period.

Arsenal also showed immense improvement in the Champions League in those years, going from the quarter-finals to the semis and then finally to the final last season.

That is elite consistency, and people should be praising that instead of poking fun.
