Mikel Arteta has put pen to paper on a new contract that is set to keep him at Arsenal until 2030.
The Gunners’ boss has truly transformed the club over the last seven years and recently helped them become Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years.
Daniel Farke called Arsenal one of the best clubs in the world ahead of the game at the Emirates on Saturday. He is absolutely right about that.
Now, Santi Cazorla has said something similar – not about Arsenal but Arteta.

Santi Cazorla reacts to Mikel Arteta signing a new Arsenal contract
Mikel Arteta and Cazorla are very good friends on and off the pitch.
The two Spaniards struck up an instant relationship when Arsene Wenger signed Cazorla from Malaga in the summer of 2012. That bond has remained to this day.
Earlier this week, after Arteta penned his new contract at Arsenal, the club’s media team arranged a number of messages from players, former teammates and fans for the manager.
There were a number of excellent words said in that video. Arteta was even brought to tears listening to some of them at the Sobha Realty Training Centre.
One such message came from his good pal Cazorla.
“Mikelino,” the former Gunner said at the start, as seen in Arsenal’s YouTube video. Then, while speaking about his new contract, he added: “I’m sure that the Arsenal fans are really happy, because, for me, you are the best coach in the world.”
Arteta can be seen standing there with a smile on his face as Cazorla and several others showered praise on him and wished him well.
Santi Cazorla is spot on about Mikel Arteta
Cazorla is right; Arteta is the best coach in the world today.
Yes, we’re sure people will bring forward names like Luis Enrique, Hansi Flick and perhaps even Jose Mourinho now that he is back at Real Madrid. They are all definitely incredible managers.
However, what Arteta has done in the toughest league in the world over the last seven years after inheriting a squad as bad as the one he did is nothing short of remarkable.
Yes, money has been spent, but Arteta has transformed Arsenal in the right way, and every player who has worked under him has improved tremendously.
That is why he is the best in the world.
