Former Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon scored three goals for England in the recent international break.
Anthony Gordon has expressed his relief at playing with teammates who can finally see his attacking runs.
In a thinly veiled swipe at his former Newcastle United colleagues, the 25-year-old noted the talents of Barcelona star Pedri. Gordon left the Magpies shortly after last season ended for £70million.
While yet to score his first goal, he has started brightly - registering five assists in Barca colours. A fruitful international break also saw Gordon score in all three games he played for England.

Anthony Gordon subtle dig
However, in an attempt to curry favour with Barcelona fans, Gordon has fired a subtle shot at his former teammates. He told Sport: “I’ve made many runs throughout my career that no one saw, but now I have Pedri, who sees absolutely everything.
“Adapting has been relatively easy because at Newcastle we already played a similar style - pressing hard and attacking with the team pushed high up the pitch.
“With the ball as well, now I play surrounded by some of the best footballers in the world. The best Barca side I’ve ever seen is Pep Guardiola's – the one that won the Champions League with players like Xavi and Andres Iniesta. I want this team to be remembered forever.”
Alan Shearer renews Anthony Gordon feud
Earlier this week, Alan Shearer renewed his feud with Gordon by suggesting Newcastle only saw a glimpse of his qualities. The pair had a frosty relationship which dates to Gordon missing the Champions League first leg with Barcelona through illness.
Shearer claimed he would never miss a big game for that reason, with Gordon firing back at the media “nonsense” after scoring the winner against Chelsea a few days later. Speaking to Betfair, the Toon icon said: “We only saw a glimpse at Newcastle of how good Anthony Gordon could turn out to be.
“I also probably looked at him and thought that he wanted to leave. I think we could tell that, but he looks as if he's got loads of energy. He's got an appetite for where he is. Obviously, the surroundings, he's happy about going to Barcelona. He's happy with the move.
“I think you can tell that in his performances, whereas we probably didn't see that enough last season at Newcastle. That is fine, I get you're always entitled to go and do what you want to do in your career, and he now looks as if he's in a happy place, both with England and with Barcelona.”
