Both Mikel Arteta and Andoni Iraola were keen to stress that the Premier League's case against Manchester City is "ongoing" following confirmation the Blues have appealed the verdict.
City have been found guilty of nearly all of the 115 charges brought against them by the Premier League. The club continue to insist they are innocent and have appealed the verdict.
How long said appeal takes and whether the club will be handed a punishment before the outcome of their appeal is revealed is unknown, leaving City and the rest of the league in limbo as the 2026/27 season continues to be played out.
Premier League football returns this weekend and managers across the country sat down in front of the media on Friday to preview the upcoming games.
However, as was expected, the outcome of the Premier League's case against City dominated the agenda. Arteta and Iraola were asked to give their thoughts on the outcome, yet both were keen to stress the case was ongoing.

Arteta told reporters: "I fully understand the question but I think it's really important that we respect the process, the timelines and it's still an ongoing process that's not resolved as it's been appealed."
Iraola gave a similar response, saying: "I think uncertainty is not good for anyone involved but the process is ongoing so we have to be patient."
City boss Enzo Maresca faced a barrage of questions about the verdict in his press conference on Friday morning, though he maintained he trusts the club and is confident the appeal will see the verdict overturned.
"I trust the club because I trust the people and this is also the reason why I joined the club," he said. "There is not another club in the world where I would like to be. I'm very happy to be, I'm very proud.
"One hundred per cent, yes [I would have taken the job even if I knew the outcome of the case]. I know the organisation from years ago. I know how serious they are. I know they do the right things. I would like to speak about this when we're going to win the appeal."
