FC Barcelona have announced that Barça Atletic midfielder Pedro Rodriguez has renewed his contract until 2030.
His previous contract was due to expire next June and the club have now officially confirmed the extension.
“FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with Pedro Rodriguez to extend his contract for four more seasons, so he will remain linked to the Club until June 30, 2030,” the statement read.

“At the signing ceremony, held at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, the player was accompanied by the director of Youth Football, Jaume Santiveri, and by the director of Youth Football, Jose Ramon Alexanco.”
Barcelona secure the future of a special La Masia talent
Pedro is regarded as one of the promising talents to emerge from La Masia. Barcelona had been working on his renewal for some time. Last season, he was an important member of the Juvenil A team before stepping up to Barça Atletic not long ago.
The 18-year-old La Masia gem is a midfielder with good vision and reliable passing. He can operate both as a defensive midfielder and in a more advanced central role.

However, being part of a generation containing several highly rated young players has made it difficult for him to establish himself as a regular starter for Barça Atlètic.
Despite interest from several major European clubs in recent seasons, Pedro chose to remain at Barcelona.
His new contract until 2030 reinforces that commitment and gives him more time to continue developing within the club’s system.
