Kyrie Irving is projected to finally return to the court for the Dallas Mavericks.
After skipping the Mavs' 135-117 NBA China Games 2026 opener loss against the Houston Rockets, the star point guard is expected to suit up for both teams' rematch on Sunday, per league insider Marc Stein.
Kyrie Irving set to make on-court return from ACL injury
Ahead of the NBA China event in Macao, Dallas Mavericks head coach Dusty May told reporters that Kyrie Irving will play in one of their back-to-back clashes against the Houston Rockets.
After not playing on Friday, it's simply safe to assume that Irving will fully play and make his highly anticipated on-court comeback for the Mavs this weekend.
Irving is now fully recovered and well after suffering a torn ACL injury back in March last year. He missed the entire 2025-26 season to fully rehabilitate.
The star point guard also revealed that a December calf injury delayed his recovery and ultimately sidelined him from playing for Dallas last year.
With Irving back in the lineup, the Mavericks are seeking to compete for contention in the upcoming NBA season.
