Arsenal and Chelsea fans are being warned to plan accordingly, as closures over the weekend could cause major delays in getting to the game.
As the Premier League is set to return this weekend, supporters of two of London's biggest clubs will be facing travel disruption. Arsenal fans will not be able to use Arsenal Tube Station, as it has been closed due to concerns that it may 'be sinking' after infrastructure damage was noted.
Arsenal fans are advised to use Highbury and Islington, Holloway Road or Finsbury Park. Richard Jones, director of asset performance delivery for London Underground, said: “Arsenal Tube station is currently closed so that we can repair infrastructure damage within the station.
"Our teams are working around the clock to repair the damage as quickly as possible, and we will share more information on the reopening and operation of the station as soon as we can.”
Arsenal's match against Leeds United is set for 12.30pm on Saturday, October 10. The Gunners are currently sitting 2nd in the table, while Leeds are 5th.

Chelsea fans will also be facing issues as the District line will be disrupted. Trains will not be stopping at Fulham Broadway, the closest stop to the stadium, as crews are working on the Wimbledon branch on both Saturday and Sunday. This will not be news to Chelsea fans, as Fulham Broadway has been regularly closed on weekends for the past few months.
This will also affect passengers who need to go between Edgware Road/Tower Hill and Ealing Broadway, Kensington (Olympia), and Richmond. Supporters heading to the Chelsea v Bournemouth match on Saturday afternoon are encouraged to take the Piccadilly line to Earl's Court, which is a 27-minute walk from the stadium. The match kicks off at 3pm as Chelsea.
If those options aren't suitable, supporters can also use the Mildmay Line to/from West Brompton or Imperial Wharf, which connects to national rail services to the south at Clapham Junction or to Central line services to the north at Shepherd's Bush.
Chelsea are currently sitting 10th in the table and will be welcoming Bournemouth who are 17th.
