UPDATE: Ezri Konsa and Kai Havertz Latest Ahead of Leeds United

Arsenal have received an encouraging update on Kai Havertz and Ezri Konsa before they welcome Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.

Arsenal have been handed an injury boost before they host Leeds United on Saturday afternoon. They look to return to winning ways after a shock defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion before the international break.

The Gunners had a perfect record before their trip to The American Express stadium, including hard-fought away victories at Aston Villa, Napoli, and Sunderland.

Mikel Arteta explained that 'we have pain in the tummy for what happened', and that he expects 'our supporters will be very excited to watch the team play'.

Leeds will prove a difficult test in north London, having lost just one Premier League game since March, though Arteta's side scored nine goals without reply against Daniel Farke's men across both games last campaign.

Arsenal will be hoping to have their full squad available, with numerous doubts lingering over the fitness of key personnel.

Long-term absentee William Saliba is joined by Christos Tzolis as the only players ruled out of the match, after the Greek winger sustained a hamstring injury on international duty that will keep him sidelined for 'a few weeks', according to Arteta.

The Spaniard also revealed yesterday in his pre-match press conference that Kai Havertz and Ezri Konsa will undergo late fitness tests.

In a boost for the club, both Havertz and Konsa were spotted with the rest of the Arsenal squad on their pre-match walk this morning.

For several seasons, the Gunners have maintained a pre-match ritual of going on a local walk on the morning of a match.

Whilst Havertz has been favoured to lead the line this campaign, Viktor Gyökeres and Mikel Merino both enjoyed campaigns with Sweden and Spain respectively in the break.

The north London side have also seen their defensive ranks bolstered, with Piero Hincapié, Cristhian Mosquera and Ben White all available for selection.

None of the trio were deemed fit to start in the defeat to Brighton, and decided to remain at Sobha Realty Training Centre rather than travelling with their respective national sides.

It was just the second time that the Gunners have conceded three goals in a Premier League match since December 2023, so the reinforcements will be warmly welcomed.

Max Dowman, who withdrew from international duty with England under-19, is also available after returning to full first-team training earlier this week.

After hosting Leeds, Arsenal welcome Lille in their first home UEFA Champions League clash since the memorable victory over Atlético Madrid that sent them to last campaign's final in Budapest.
